Good news for those of you who are not living right! According to Jimmy Swaggart, you will be taken in the rapture as well and won’t miss out on eternal life! Unfortunately for you, it is a lie. His stance on the rapture is blatantly anti-biblical and downright apostate. However, this is a very expedient doctrine for a ministry that is more concerned about looking righteous than being righteous.
According to Swaggart’s stance, once you have accepted Christ it matters not if you are in an adulterous relationship, engaging in fornication or living a lascivious lifestyle. Nor does it matter if you are a drunkard, a compulsive gambler or a wife beater; you will still inherit the kingdom. A convenient doctrine indeed for a ministry that would rather bury their dirty laundry than clean it.
(Jude 1:4), For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
First of all, let’s take a look at what Jimmy Swaggart actually said and then we can examine it according to scripture.
What does the Word of God say?
Swaggart’s ministry in recent years has begun to align itself more with antinomianism than with Biblical Christianity. Antinomianism comes from the Greek and means “without law”. Antinomian is the polar opposite of legalism and both are errant extremes. Obviously, we can agree that we are saved by grace through faith. However, too often those who would oppose licentiousness are labeled as legalistic. Many apostates now claim that those who are simply encouraging others to live a righteous and holy life are preaching “salvation by works.” That is not at all what I am advocating. I do believe we are saved by grace apart from our works. In other words, there is nothing we can personally do to earn our salvation. However, I also believe that if we are truly saved we will have works, as faith without works is dead.
(Eph. 2:8-9), 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
However, faith is not accompanied by works or actions, it is dead!
(James 2:17), Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
According to scripture, true faith produces fruits of righteousness in keeping with repentance! Now to be clear, I am not talking about someone who sins and repents and clearly shows the fruit of that repentance. I am talking about someone who habitually sins; someone who practices unrighteousness. The Bible is very clear that those who don’t do right are not born of God!
(1 John 3:9-10), No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him, he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are. Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God, so is anyone who does not love his brother.
We can not continue partying, fornicating, living in adultery, watching porn, or indulging ourselves in occult themed entertainment and say that we are saved. If we do, we are at best deceiving ourselves and at worst flat-out liars. The Word is clear; if we love God, we will obey His commandments.
(John 14:15), If you love me you will obey what I command.
(Titus 1:16), They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him.
(John 14:21), Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me.
(Luke 6:46), Why do you call me Lord, Lord and do not do what I say.
(John 14:23), If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him and we will come to him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching.
(2 Timothy 2:19), “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
(James 4:4), Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
(1 John 2:15), Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the father is not in him.
(1 Corinthians 10:21), You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too. You cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons
BACKSLIDERS
With the scriptures above, we have established that those who practice iniquity, those who do not obey His commandments and deny Christ with their actions, are not in Christ. If they indeed knew Him at one time they have become what is commonly referred to as a backslider.
“A backslider is a regenerate person who has degenerated to a state of living in unconfessed, unrepentant and unforgiven sin. Such a person, as a natural consequence, is rebellious to the principles of theKingdom ofGod and the direction of the Word of God. Such a person is a disobedient and unfaithful servant, separated from God and in danger of being eternally lost but is a candidate for restoration” (The backslider- Bill Haynes).
Now keep in mind that contrary to scripture, Jimmy Swaggart is proclaiming that those who are not living right will be taken in the rapture along-side the righteous. This belief is diametrically opposed to what scripture actually teaches.
(John 15:6), If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers, such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
(Luke 9:62), But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”
(2 peter 2:20-21), For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. 21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
Do not be fooled! There will be many on that day who will beg to be let into the Kingdom claiming they deserve their reward. They will recount all the great and mighty things they have done for the Lord, but it will be too late! These men and women will not be what you and I would consider wretched sinners. They will have prophesied, performed miracles and cast out demons. These will be people who no doubt at one time KNEW the Lord. However, because of their iniquity and lawlessness the Lord will send them away into outer darkness.
(Mathew 7:21-23), Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
The word iniquity above, in is from the Greek word “anomia” which means contempt or violation of the law, or wickedness. These will be people who had done major things in the name of the Lord yet they practiced iniquity; they were lawless.
In light of this, I implore you to compare what is being told to you from the pulpit with the Word of God and do not blindly trust your leaders.
Very Informative. I was not aware of this, it sounds good. That we can “not live right” those are Jimmy’s words and still go in the rapture and inherit eternal life. But boy that is a slippery slope.

Swygert saying that people can live sinful lives, and still be saved that is not only not scriptural I have never heard the man preach this or teach this and I listen to him all the time. I have listened intently to his many teaching series on the rapture of the church. I have never ever heard Rev. Jimmy Swaggart or his wife, or his son Donny, or any other member of the past oral staff teach or even insinuate, that you can be saved and still live in sin. No, it is there – actually my use of this in this context is protected under section 107-118 ( Title 17) of the US copywrite law. JSM manages to bully Youtube by crying copywrite violation to every video that opposes them but they won’t bully me. I know my rights under US law and I have not violated any copywrite law in using this clip in this context.

Hi Mishel, thank you for posting this informative message. More and more JSM is becoming apostate. Changing the truth of God into a lie….to support their unrightous lifestyle. If people in FWC cannot see the truth of their lies then they are truly under sway of a “spirit of deception”. This actually is what the “ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED” pro-ponents are advocating….that even if you have been born-again you can still continue living a sinful life and still go to heaven. I don’t buy the “Once Saved-Always Saved” belief system. I noticed that most of those that follow this deception have unstable lives. It is usually the Pentecostals, Assemblies Of God, and Baptists that seem to brag about it. However, they also slam Catholics because of the Confessions they do every Sunday in a Confessional Room heard by a priest who absolves their sins. But, these people are no different. It is the proverbial ” Pot Calling The Kettle, Black”.
As a youth I broke away from the Catholic Church and got into the Jesus, Charismatic, Movement. I talk about it in my blog. I went through the same experience as you, Mishell, with the Toronto Blessing though it was called something else at the time.
While attending those meetings, I was very confused and depressed at the same time with often thoughts of suicide too. It was then, when I asked myself, “If this is God, why am I having these thoughts?”
It has taken me over 20 years to get over those experiences. The mind control and related problems like depression, were that severe.
Christianity is now so depraved, evil, and corrupt in America that is beyond hope. Only a few will survive. I don’t believe in the so called Rapture they way it is taught since that word is not even scriptural. Some thing will happen, but I have a different view on what may happen. I suppose you can call it a revelation of sorts. The cost of wanting to know the Truth is very high. Since I had this awakening in 2002, my life has changed and not for the good.

We receive the Holy Spirit after acknowledging Jesus Christ as our Lord and God.
Because of this, all the good deeds we do from then on, have the virtues of His glory and honor in them.
Glory has to do with knowledge, enlightenment, intelligence, wisdom, and perception derived from the Lord, through the diligent study of His Word.
Honor means doing good towards others according to knowledge, intelligence and wisdom.
For we behave wisely towards others according to the degree of enlightment we have.
That’s why we must labour to understand the Word in order to act wisely towards others.
We are to strive daily against the natural inclination in our flesh to sin against others.
This is how we glorify and honor our Lord Jesus Christ.
This is why Paul wrote,
God…”will render to each one according to his deeds” eternal life to those who by patient continuance in DOING GOOD seek for GLORY, HONOR, and immortality…” [Rom.2:5-7]
What! We are to seek glory and honor?
What many may not know is that when we glorify and honor our Lord, by doing good deeds, we are storing up the Lord’s heavenly substance into our spiritual bodies!
Good deeds are tangible substances!
These are what we’ll be taking with us, into the Kingdom of God at the rapture!
As a result, our being in heaven is going to exponentially increase the degree of glory and honour in God’s Kingdom!
We are NOT going home empty handed!
This is why the Word says,
“And the nations of those who are saved [that is, resurrected or translated] shall walk in its LIGHT, and the kings of the earth BRING their GLORY and HONOR into it. Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). And they shall BRING the GLORY and HONOR of the nations into it.” [Rev.21:24-26]
Shouldn’t this give us all the motivation we need to be good husbands, good fathers, good wives, good mothers, good brothers, good sisters, good workers, good business people, good friends, good preachers and good teachers?
Many are being taught that doing good is not part of the salvation deal.
As a result, many Christians have no restraint on their conduct.
These Christians have imbibed false doctrines, as a result, they are not obeying the truths in the Word.
If we are not striving to be good people daily, we tend to yield to our natural inclinations to be evil people!
This is why Paul wrote,
“…but to those who are self-seeking and DO NOT OBEY THE TRUTH, but obey unrighteousness – indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man WHO DOES EVIL…” [Rom.2:8,9]
Jimmy Swaggart is preaching a gospel of mercy without personal responsibility!
It is a false gospel.
Unfortunately, many Christians will not reject this false gospel until they find themselves in the Great tribulation.
I believe in the Rapture and that it is revealed to those who will make it. No the word Rapture is not in scripture but the word taken from it means the same, departure.
The difference is the Rapture is also the Resurrection when the dead are raised first and those which are alive and remain rise up after them to meet Him in the AIR. So shall we ever be with the Lord.
I also believe only those to be Raptured will be taken, must know and believe in the event, watching for it and prepared. I also believe it will be around Mid-Trib. His feet do not touch the earth in the Rapture but does in the Second Coming.
The 7 Feasts of the LORD reveals the final 3 Fall Feasts in the Second Coming when all 3 will be fulfilled with the 1st event, the Rapture. The first 4 Fall Feasts fulfilled in the First Coming, so shall the final 3 be fulfilled at the Second Coming.
Swaggart teaches these Feasts have been thrown away and made the statement IF you partake of a Feast of the Lord, you sin. Rather these Feasts are of Him. They are not yet fulfilled, the last 3.
He said they would be celebrated forever.
I believe Him. I did a study on them 28 years ago and found them to be true. I did have to learn about them. I can say wow at to what they really reveal. Not about Abraham,Isaac, Jacob as the Jew believed, they are about God the Father God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Big difference and changed my life. I a forever grateful.
He returns with His Bride at the Second Coming when He touches down upon the earth, all the angels with Him. The 1,000 years begins.
I will have to disagree with you on one point. Most Pentecostals do not believe or promote once saved always saved. Early Pentecost was built upon Weslayan Holiness doctrine and was actually quite opposed to such a notion.

John, thank you for your response to my post. I was telling my story based on by conversations I have had with people. I hope I can help someone who has gone through the same ordeal and hopefully heal from the evil that was inflicted on them. I am still dealing with those memories from those who have hurt me. A lot that abuse came from sibling family members.
The best advice I often tell myself and hopefully to others, is to still love these people, but just stay away from them because they are dangerous.
I understand. We all have to run the race that Christ sets before us, it is sad what religious men have done to Pentecost and the misconceptions so many have because of that. I’m sorry for your pain, I can certainly empathize with that and if anything my experiences have helped me to draw closer to the savior and not any man or denomination, even though I am a licensed minister in a major Pentecostal Denomination. I do not look to it for my approval or strength, and there are many good men and women within doing the work of The Lord and there are many doing things that honestly probably hinders the Kingdom. But as you said love them,pray for them and stay away from them.

I recently was led out of this teaching by the Lord, I was getting in deep but the lord held me in long enough to see the truth, his expositors Bible is his primary way of brainwashing his followers. They are now training others and setting up churches across The USA and luring in unsuspecting people. With technology and social media the pastors of these churches will spy on the people and use the stuff they learn about them in there sermons to fill them with guilt and shame thinking it was of God they fall right into their trap, then they tell them the message of the cross is the only thing they need. I want to encourage you in your pursuit to tell others with the following verses of scripture. ” and the servant of The Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient. In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God preadventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.” 2 Timothy 2:24-26. The Lord has dealt with me about not allowing bitter fruits of the flesh to defile me and operate out of resentment and anger. But to allow His precious love to bath my heart and he will supply the strength and power to speak the truth in love. Sister I could not agree more, and yes the Lord instructed me to be loving and understanding because I was in their shoes, but to be honest you could not tell me while I was deceived, it’s the Lord who brought it out for me in a way he could only do. I went back and listen to this video, I heard him says those that were not living like you think they ought to live, if they were justified and saved they would go in the rapture. I didn’t hear him say anything about living in open sin. I will listen again.
I was more concern about his opinion on young children not going in the rapture. I just could not get my head around they would be left her to go through the great tribulation.

That really is not the point at all, the point is that JSM speaks victory through their cross teaching out of one side of their mouth but they are continually making excuses and provision for sinful living out of the other. Pre trib, Mid trib, post trib can all present Valid points from scripture so I guess we will just have to wait and see.
The comments about the children really bothered me. I saw a Frances and Friends show a week or 2 ago and the panel all said that unborn and living babies and children under the accountabilty of 2 unsaved parents would remain during the Rapture but if these same children and babies were to die 5 minutes before or after the Rapture they would go to Heaven. They could not explain the reasoning for why they would not go in the Rapture. It certainly is not the child’s fault the parents did not teach them about God and Jesus. Can anyone explain the difference?

Let me say I believe the baptism of the H.S is possible but to make a person believe that they aren’t having a closer relationship with God or you aren’t hearing God as clearly as you could if you had it. I just donated to this ministry this A.M.! wow, I have been a follower for several several months…and I want my money back! I just called my credit card institution, and I have to rebuke it after 3 days! I feel like a fool, I feel betrayed! I trusted this “ministry”! I feel like I have been violated! I feel very bad for others….but God knows my heart and my intentions..I will be getting my 150.00 bucks back! and will no longer watch this ministry again! I am so sad, as I truly trusted. Just this morning, taking my 12 year old daughter to school, I told her that I just loved and trusted JSM and they were my church….NOT any more! I watched this particular program, as I watch everyday…and I remember saying to myself that what he was preaching did NOT sound right to me, about the children and one parent or both parents needing to be saved, in order for the child to be “raptured” and that’s another thing I disagree with…”raptured before troubles times”….and thank you for the video on Francis’s “knee surgery” it can’t be MORE obvious! “Facial surgery” is what happened..at my and others donation expense! May I say that I look at salvation from the perspective of what the individual believes warrants their salvation. For instance, are you trusting in the death resurrection, and atoning work of Christ for your sin. Or are you trusting in self, I.E. works, keeping of the law, tithing, fasting, religious “church” attendance, etc……. I would say that if you are trusting in the latter then surely Christ died in vain. Do any of you honestly think Christ would do such a thing? Ask yourselves this question.
As for myself I will say this. Concerning salvation I choose not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I do not lean on my own understanding, because the heart is deceivably wicked above all things. For the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but to those of us who are saved it is the power of God.
So obedience and faith don’t coincide Jasper? It’s nice to quote some of JSM’s ideology and favorite scriptures, but what is your definition of trust in the death of Christ? Is it to love God with your whole heart and walk in obedience to his word. Jesus said if you love me you will keep my commandments. I have listened to brother Swaggart for many years since I was a very young, young person, and I will say to my knowledge that I have never ever ever heard brother Swaggart, his Son Donnie, or any ordained clergy on the past oral staff at Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge Louisiana ever say that you can still be in sin, and go up in the Rapture. That accusation is absolutely false. However, since I am unable to access the link that was sent to me concerning this accusation, I have no way to confirm this accusation to be true or untrue as the link does not work.
I have personally listened to the live broadcasts of family worship center his preaching being brother Jimmy Swaggart’s preaching, and his son Donnie Swaggart’s teaching, and preaching on the Holy Spirit.
I have also listened to Francis and friends and other programs the program the brother Swaggart hosts call the message of the cross, and a study in the word, and at no time, have I ever heard it come out of their mouths that you could go to heaven and still be committing all kinds of sin. Again that statement is absolutely faults.

I have been reading some of the posts on this site concerning a Christian minister by the name of Rev. Jimmy Swaggart. I find these comments and posts inflammatory, and very tasteless because there is nothing on here that I can access to corroborate these accusations, and allegations.

Brother Swaggart and his family has been a major blessing to my life, and in lives of many people.
There are those in the church who try to malign, and destroy him, because he preaches the gospel that a lot of people do not like, he preaches Jesus Christ, and him crucified, as the only remedy for the problems of a lost and dying humanity.
If Jimmy had lived a righteous life, there would be nothing to malign.
His teachings depart from the faith in several ways, which have already
been expounded on, but the video CLEARLY states THIS concerning the rapture:
“…What about those who are not living as they ought to live?
Well, it may anger you, but they’re gonna go too. Ha, Ha.”
That sounds like those who were saved, yet backslidden and living in sin,
will be raptured. That sounds like “once saved always saved”.
Was the Prodigal Son living in sin, with the whores and debauchers saved?
He was still his father’s son. His father still loved him.
The Father says, NO! He was LOST! And if he hadn’t repented and come back
to the Lord, uh, I mean his father, he would have remained LOST!
It sounds like Jimmy has a soft spot in his heart for those living in sin, and
we can ALL understand why.
Jesus says He is coming for a chirch that is SPOTLESS.
Granted our spotlessness is by virtue of His cleansing Blood and nothing else,
but we CANNOT live in sin and expect to be raptured,
unless we can get saved and then go out and do as Jimmy did:
Live like the devil.
JSM does not teach these things Mishel. He talks about this issue all of the time. People ask this question of him all the time and it’s the same answer every time. You cannot lose your salvation but you can turn your back on it. God does not get in the way of free will. Just like this website you are controlling. God will never get in the way of you spreading lies if that’s what you desire. One other thing. If you have to be told by a web admin that someone is fooling you, then I question your salvation to begin with. I can watch someone two minutes and know if they are the real deal or wolf in sheeps clothing. It’s called discernment. God is blessing JSM. They are the fastest growing network on TV. They are taking the gospel to IRAN! IRAN! Come on! The bible tells us to pray for those who are doing wrong and let the Holy Spirit deal with them. You should at least spend as much time praying for JSM as you do writing this column.
First of all, Swaggart DOES believe that you can live a sinful lifestyle and still go to heaven. Secondly, anything I have said about JSM or the Swaggarts can be backed up in a court of law. Thirdly, you make an assumption that someone who has worked as a web master can not possibly know scripture or be able to adequately warn others regarding deception. That is very faulty logic. Fourthly, you claim that you can tell if someone is “real” or not. Scripture tells us that NO ONE can know the heart of man. If you think you are not capable of being deceived, then not only are you incredibly proud, but you are already deceived. Fifthly, just because the network is growing does not mean God’s blessing is upon it. If that were the criteria for proving God’s blessing then one would also have to say MTV is blessed due to its growth. You are drawing ludicrous correlations. If the Mosque down the road is growing does that mean God’s blessing is on them? Growth and blessing are not always correlated. Sixthly, you are assuming that I do not pray for the JSM– you are very wrong.
AMEN!! Very well stated! I began watching JSM as a child, partly from being raised in the Assembly of God denomination where Swaggart was almost thought of as some kind of “god”.
He was flashy and showy with an ability to turn on the tears, causing his followers to “feel” so much emotion they were SURE it was the “annointing of the Holy Spirit” they were feeling”.
Somehow I don’t think that’s what we were always feeling. It was simply emotions, stirred by his music and tears in people who were searching for something to help them in their walk with God or perhaps in those who were hurting…….
He also had the charisma or that “something” that caused the Assembly of God denomination to grow by leaps and bounds during the 1970s and early 80’s; until he was caught with what wasn’t likely his first prostitute….. only to be caught 3 years later with another.
That is when Jimmy the Great began his “fall from grace” in the eyes of his thousands of AG followers.
The AG big dogs offered him prayer and counseling so he could continue being their “golden boy”, but he was too arrogant and self absorbed to go for any counseling!!! After all he was the GREAT Jimmy Swaggart…. preacher, singer, pianist and “celebrity”….. oh, and let’s not forget the MILLIONS he was raking in for himself and the AG.
He was self-righteous, often throwing slurs at his cousins Mickey Gilley and Jerry Lee Lewis for their “sinful”, unGodly music and lifestyles. Yet he was addicted to pornography and prostitutes.
Sure he was forgiven by a God of grace and mercy, IF he was truly repentant.
I am just shocked by the thousands of naive people who are still willing to watch his shows, listen to “his n hers” radio programs, attend his church and continue to send him their last dollar….. so he, his wife, son and grandchildren can ALL continue to live lavish lifestyles.
Sadly, I think he, Frances and Donnie have convinced themselves that what they are doing is acceptable to God. How many souls and lives have they destroyed by using the “church” as a platform to do their evil deeds?
They ALL will answer to God someday for all the wrong they have done to church members. employees and media followers.
Indeed they are in desperate need of prayer.
The fact is, we don’t know what God will allow. He will have mercy on who He chooses. Rather than argue among ourselves for bragging rights, we should be spreading the Gospel. I’m reminded here of those gathered to stone a woman. I suggest everyone put their stones down before the Lord reveals your secrets for judgment.
We, not of the world because of Jesus, should earnestly pray for our fellow believers who are in error or backsliden. Only God changes hearts, minds and lives.

and admonishment of those who preceded you! I attended the “crusade” at Madison Square Garden in September of 1984 before Swaggerts first “reported” revelation of his double life. I was in the ministry at Times Square Church in the early years 1987-1995 when the reports came in 1998 of the scandal and attempts at a cover up.His youth minister came into the church with a prostitute who brushed off those who tried to admonish him and was content with the fact that he was going to hell! Similar to the way Swaggert brushed off the warning from my Pastor David Wilkerson and his mentor Leonard Ravenhill. Jimmy is a master manipulator! Delusional possibly psychopathic .
The message he “preached” at MSG in 1984 was one of his favorites The Rapture of which his lack of eschatology insight was and is still quite evident. The result hundreds of millions (160,000.000)per year at the time to be exact poured in from hundreds of thousands of “followers” who had no need of savings because Jesus was coming anyday!

I think this site needs to be discontinued if all we are going to hear is slander and backbiting. Our blessed Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ will deal with Brother Swaggart, just as he deals with you, and I, when we do wrong, or when we sin against the Lord.
If we are going to continue to talk about brother Swaggart, and let us talk about him to our Lord on our knees as we pray for him and for God’s leading in his life. This thing I do know, I listen to is broadcast through the Sun Life broadcast network, and he preaches straight gospel biblical teaching, and his message has not changed. He still preaches Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

I’ve been watching for five years. They’ve never taught that. They, like I and my Baptist upbringing, do believe in eternal security. God doesn’t take it away. BUT, you in your free will can decide to walk away from God. That is what they teach. The Baptist (some) believe you can’t lose your salvation at all. I do not nelieve that however, and have walked away from that errored teaching. We wouldn’t be told by John, the Revelator ‘He who overcomes, the same shall be clothes in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father, and before His Angels’. Rev 3:5. I think we better be really careful in what we say about God’s anointed. It’s really not our place to say if we think they are or not either. We better be praying for those preaching at all. There are very few now who actually preach the Gospel.
Wow! So many people with hatred. Peter denied Christ three times and was still accepted by him after he died. Peter said I love you Lord three times to him face to face, it was a telling to us as believers to repent our wickedness after we have sinned. This is not an excuse for sin or backsliding. This is just a simple fact, men are weak and we forget and fail alot. Only a self righteous hypocrite would say that we are always going to be holy after accepting Christ. Jimmy Swaggert is a adulterer, so what. If he has asked the Lord and his wife forgiveness what is it anyone elses business. Are people so self-righteousness that we always have to find some thing wrong with people to make our own sin seem insignificant? I believe salvation can be lost “only” if a believer rejects Christ after accepting him. The parable of the seed in the weeds and the seed sewn in Rocky ground seem apt.
